Tampa Bay -- Tim Bogar had a deep desire to become a Major League supervisor, but this was not the way this individual wanted to fulfill that fantasy.

Bogar became the Rangers interim boss on Friday when Ron Washington stepped down web hosting reasons.

Bogar will manage the Rangers for the rest of the year, but gm Jon Daniels said the club may begin a search for a new director after the season.

'We haven't gotten that far yet, nevertheless ultimately we're going to make the best decision for the club moving forward,In Daniels said.

Bogar was given the job with an interim basis. The Rangers have several in the group who could emerge since candidates for a Major League managerial job, including pitching coach Mike Maddux, third-base coach H Pettis and Triple-A manager Steve Buechele.

Bogar had been considered by the Astros two years back while Maddux previously interviewed with all the Cubs and Buechele with the Rockies.

'Tim is extremely well regarded,' Daniels explained. 'He's got the respect of his peers and participants, His is a hard worker, experienced, organized, respected on the staff members. His was a natural choice.'

Bogar met briefly with the people before Friday's game against the Seamen, that after Washington met with him or her. With his players still stunned at the news, Bogar didn't try to overstock them about what's coming up next.

'We just talked about the next 22 days being small business as usual,' Bogar said. 'We're going to talk to each and every one of them. Bogar, 47, joined the particular Rangers this season as counter coach, replacing Jackie Moore.
